
About a year ago, when we started Mojo's, a food writer commented that we probably couldn't survive because we had such a limited menu. It's true, we don't have one of those "international" menus so popular in Bali that feature everything from Spaghetti Bolognese to Nasi Goreng to "Chicken Gordon Bleu." Was it possible to have a Mexican restaurant that didn't also serve nasi goreng and burgers?
We make burritos, tacos, enchiladas and nachos. That's it. And if you're craving the best damn burrito, taco, enchilada or nachos in Bali, Mojo's is the place to go.
We admit we're obsessed. We have hour-long meetings about avocados. I've gotten texted on a someone's day off about how he finally figured out the correct way to roll a corn tortilla for optimum crispiness. We work on making every ingredient as delicious and fresh as possible. Our flour and corn tortillas are handmade abuela-style every day. Salsas, guacamole, pinto beans, black beans, brown rice, cilantro rice...yep, all made from scratch.
And thanks to all of you, we did quite a bit better than survive. Thank you for eating!
